The West Plains Zizzers hosted the Waynesville Tigers in Ozark Conference football on Friday night, October 16, 2020. The Zizzers had a strong first half of the game, scoring two touchdowns in the first quarter and one in the second. The Tigers gave West Plains their toughest competition in weeks, scoring two touchdowns in the first half. The Tigers recovered two fumbles by the Zizzers during the first half, slowing down West Plains. The halftime score was 21 to 13.
The West Plains Zizzers came back to the field with even more fire, managing to double their score and prevent the Waynesville Tigers from finding the endzone in the third quarter. The Zizzers scored three more touchdowns and ended the quarter leading the Tigers, 42 to 13.
The Waynesville Tigers came back with a fury in the fourth quarter. The Tigers made the first touchdown of the quarter and prevented a Zizzer touchdown and making a touchback of their own. West Plains answered this with two more touchdowns to clinch the victory over Waynesville.
Again, the West Plains Zizzers defeat the Waynesville Tigers, 56 to 20. This win brings the West Plains Zizzers to eight wins and zero losses.
