The Willow Springs Bears played in day 2 of the Blue & Gold tournament today after their loss yesterday to the Ash Grove Pirates. Today they faced off against the Skyline Tigers, with their continued participation on the line.
The first half of the game showed true back and forth with Skyline leading the bears by the nose in the first quarter 17 to 3. In the second however, the bears sprang back and managed to overcome the 14 point lead, but managed to take the lead 26 to 25.
In the third quarter, the Bears showed domination at they pummeled their opponent, leading with a lead of 53 to 34. By the time the game was over, the Bears continued to maintain their lead, their loss in the first quarter a distant memory. The total score by the end was 68 to 56, favoring the bears.
