COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri women’s basketball has signed junior transfer Tionna Herron from Texas, head coach Robin Pingeton announced on Wednesday.
Herron, the No. 69 overall recruit in the 2022 class, appeared in 11 games for the Longhorns during her true freshman campaign a season ago.
She scored a season-best six points against UT Arlington with a 3-of-5 performance from the floor.
A four-star recruit out of DeSoto High School, Herron led her team to back-to-back state titles and was named a Texas Association of Basketball All-State selection in 2022.
Herron signed with Kentucky out of high school, but did not appear in a game after undergoing open heart surgery prior to the start of the season.
She is the Tigers’ third transfer addition this offseason, joining Tilda Sjökvist, Nyah Wilson and Laniah Randle.
