Women’s Basketball Falls at Arkansas

FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – University of Missouri women’s basketball (13-3, 2-1 SEC) fell on the road at Arkansas (11-5, 1-2 SEC) by a score of 73-63 for the Tigers’ first SEC loss of the season.

The Razorbacks used a big first half to take a commanding lead and they held off the Tigers’ comeback attempt with some clutch threes from Rylee Langerman.

Mizzou was able to cut the lead to ten late in the third quarter after a Hayley Frank three and two free throws from Aijha Blackwell, but back-to-back three-point possessions for Arkansas added some padding to the lead.

NOTES

Hayley Frank paced the Tigers with 22 points and five rebounds, marking her fourth 20-point output of the season and her sixth-consecutive game in double figures.

Mama Dembele put up a career-best 16 points while dishing out five assists. She knocked down all three of her three-point attempts for a new career high.

Lauren Hansen matched her career high with four assists.

The Tigers trailed by as many as 20 in the first half, but they could not cut the Arkansas lead to fewer than nine points.

Arkansas has won five in a row over the Tigers.
