COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri women’s basketball is set to host No. 14 Kentucky at 6:30 p.m. Thursday at Mizzou Arena. The game will stream live on SECN+.
Missouri (13-14, 2-10 SEC) is coming off a loss to No. 16 Oklahoma on Sunday.
Junior guard Ashton Judd led the Tigers with 13 points against the Sooners.
Sophomore guard Grace Slaughter and senior forward Laniah Randle contributed 12 points each, with Randle also hauling in five boards.
Slaughter leads the Tigers with 15.4 points per game this season including 16.2 in league play.
Judd is averaging 13.2 points per game in SEC play.
Slaughter also ranks sixth in the conference in free throw percentage at 85.3 and is fourth in the country in 3-point percentage (46.6) among athletes who average 1.5+ makes per game this season.
Sophomore guard Abbey Schreacke is third in the SEC with 58 3-pointers this season.
With the triple total, Schreacke is third among all program sophomores for 3-pointers made in a season. She is six behind Alyssa Hoolins for second.
Schreacke also ranks seventh in the SEC in 3-point percentage (38.4%).
As a team, the Tigers are second in the SEC and are 12th nationally in 3-point percentage at 37.4 percent.
Redshirt sophomore Averi Kroenke ranks fifth in the SEC and 34th in the country with a 2.36 assist-to-turnover ratio. Kroenke recorded a career-high eight assists against Tennessee on Feb. 2.
Missouri is 3-13 against teams ranked No. 14 in the AP Top 25 with the last win coming against South Carolina on Feb. 28, 2013.
Kentucky enters Thursday at 20-4 including a 9-3 mark in conference play following a win over Georgia on Sunday.
The Wildcats are coached by Kenny Brooks who is in his first season at the helm.
Brooks spent the previous eight years at Virginia Tech where he led the Hokies to a Final Four appearance during the 2022-23 season.
Kentucky’s roster is headlined by Georgia Amoore who averages 19.0 points per game.
The contest will mark the 18th overall meeting between the teams with Kentucky leading the series 12-5.
Missouri is 3-13 against teams ranked No. 14 in the AP Top 25 with the last win coming against South Carolina on Feb. 28, 2013.
