Mizzou took on No. 5 Baylor in Waco on Saturday, falling by a score of 70-68. Baylor has not lost a home game since the 2016-17 season. The two-point margin in Saturday’s game was the closest result that the Bears have had at home since that loss.

Aijha Blackwell put up her sixth double double of the year in the contest with 20 points and 16 rebounds. Following her performance, Blackwell was named SEC Co-Player of the Week. She also recorded a double double in the Tigers’ first game of the week against SIUE on Thursday with 16 points and 15 boards. She is the only player in the SEC to rank inside the top six scorers and rebounders.

Redshirt-Senior guard Haley Troup stepped up for the Tigers on the road at Baylor. She added 16 points and dished out six assists on the night. Troup is currently tenth in the nation with a 3.6 assist-to-turnover ratio. She is averaging nine points and four assists per game.

Junior guard Lauren Hansen is averaging 20 points per game over her last three appearances for the Tigers. After putting up 34 points against Lehigh, Hansen has put up double figure scoring efforts in the following two games. It is the first time in her career that she has scored 10 or more points in three-straight games. Hansen is shooting nearly 60 percent from the field over her last four games after going scoreless against Troy.
