COLUMBIA, Mo. – University of Missouri women’s basketball (16-7, 5-5 SEC) hits the road to face off with No. 13/10 Tennessee in Knoxville. Tipoff is set for 5:30 p.m. on Thursday on SEC Network. Eric Frede and Tamika Catchings will be on the call.
Tennessee leads the all-time series against Mizzou 12-3 and the Lady Vols have won each of the last four meetings.
The Tigers are looking to bounce back after falling to No. 25 Ole Miss at home last Thursday. LaDazhia Williams was a bright spot for Mizzou offensively with 24 points on 11-of-17 shooting. She has put up two 20-point scoring efforts on the season and she is shooting 75 percent (18-24) over her last two games.
Mizzou did not make a three pointer for the first time in 424 games, dating back to November 14, 2008 against South Dakota State.
Junior Aijha Blackwell was named as a Cheryl Miller Award finalist after leading the Tigers with 15.9 points and 13.3 rebounds per game. Blackwell is currently second in the nation in both rebounding and double doubles. She has put up a career-best 17 double doubles on the season and she has reached 37 for her career. Her 292 rebounds on the season are the fifth-most in a single-season by a Tiger.
