The Lady Zizzer faced down the Rolla Lady Bulldogs on March 7, 2023, for the Class 5 District 6 Championship game. The last time the lady Zizzers fought the Lady Bulldogs they came out with a victory and were hoping to repeat that victory in the championship game.
The first half did not go in favor of the Lady Zizzers with the Lady Bulldogs pulling an early lead. Zizzers fought hard in the second quarter to close the gap before the Half time buzzer. Unfortunately, the Lady Zizzers could not seem to keep a good grip on the ball with multiple turnovers in the first half. The end of the first half showed the Rolla Lady Bulldogs led with a score of 17-29.
The Zizzers came out with a fire in their hearts and managed to close the gap in the 3rd quarter with the Bulldogs only having a one-point lead at the end of the quarter 34-35. The fire continued to burn during the 4th quarter as the Lady Zizzers gave very little wiggle room for mistakes. The Buzzer at the end of the game showed the West Plains Lady Zizzers as district champions with a final score of 53-40.
