Some of the young stars in the NBA want insurance in case they suffer an injury when the NBA restarts in July.
Sources say several of the league’s top young stars had a call with Players Association officials about the possibility of league-financed insurance policies to protect against career-threatening injuries.
The increased risk of injury is based on a three month-plus league shutdown and a shortened training camp in order to restart the season.
