The Cross Country teams competed at Willow on Thursday, September 10, 2020. The Varsity Girls and Boys came away Meet Champions.
Riley Simpson was the individual winner in the boys race with Justin Fleetwood in second. Also scoring for the boys and helping them earn a low score of 19 points were Brodie Callahan, Drew Stewart, and Ridge Smith. The boys team ran a smart race and ran as a team. As a team, they looked stronger this weekend. They continue to improve each week.
In the girls race, Brayden Kantola was once again the individual champion. She was followed closely by sister and teammate Jordan Kantola who was the runner up and in third place was Jayna Gunter. We tweaked the girls race plan a little this week which really helped our 4-5-6 spot of Lambe, Weisbrod, and Tollenaar run good solid races.
West Plains had two individual winners in the JV Races in Natalie Stewart and Zacch Viers.
Overall, this was a good meet for the Zizzers and Lady Zizzers. We are proud of the direction they are moving.
