West Plains, MO. – The West Plains Zizzers boys basketball team broke their losing streak on Tuesday night when they hosted the Marshfield Bluejays. The Zizzers had lost all 6 games they had played this season and were looking at a tough challenge with the Bluejays.
The first quarter showed both teams going slow and making few baskets but, ended with the Zizzers leading by one point. By the end of the half, the Zizzers would be leading by one basket, 16-14.
The Zizzers would temporarily lose their lead in the third quarter but would end the period ahead by one basket, 31 to 29. In the fourth, West Plains would finally begin to break away from Marshfield to end the game with a 13-point lead and their first win of the season.
The West Plains Zizzers defeat the Marshfield Bluejays, 48 to 35. The Zizzers will next play against Springfield Catholic in the Blue & Gold Tournament on Tuesday, Dec. 26th at 5 p.m.
