West Plains, MO. – The West Plains Zizzers played against the Nixa Eagles on Thursday, January 12, 2023. The best single word to describe this contest was “mismatch”. The Zizzers entered the contest with a record of 4 wins and 9 losses, the Eagles are undefeated for the season and are ranked 2nd in the state.
The first quarter of the game was a great example of how the rest of the game would play out. West Plains was left in the dust by the end of the quarter, 25 to 8. The second quarter was much better for the Zizzers offense, putting 10 more points on the scoreboard to Eagles 19. The half ended with Nixa far in the lead, 44 to 18.
The third quarter was much like the second, with the Zizzers adding 11 points and the Eagles adding 18. Nixa continued their scoring pattern and outscored West Plains 14 to 6 in the fourth.
The West Plains Zizzers lose to the Nixa Eagles, 76 to 35. The Zizzers will next play the Camdenton Lakers at home on Tuesday, January 17, 2023.
