The West Plains High School Zizzers played the Rolla Bulldogs in the afternoon of February 13, 2024.
The Rolla makes the first score of the game in the first quarter.The bulldogs start off strong making the first 2 scores of the night and then continuing to keep the ball to themselves. Zizzers pick up their game and bring the game to a tie of 9 to 9, only to have the Bulldogs take the ball back ending the first quarter at a score of 20 to 14.
The Bulldogs stay in th lead, starting off with a 9 point lead, then stretching that into a 14 point lead before the end of the second quarter. There were 8 turnovers for the West Plains Zizzers for the first half of the game and only 1 for the Rolla Bulldogs. The Zizzers had a very tough start leaving the first half ending with a score of 38 to 22.
West Plains once again starts off behind the Rolla Bulldogs. The Bulldogs barely give the Zizzers a chance to have the ball in the third quarter. Rolla keeps hitting the 3 pointers as the Zizzers struggle for a chance at the ball. The thrid quarter ends with The Bulldogs in the lead with 60 to 41.
To quote Harlin, ” Rolla had shot the lights out tonight.” The Zizzers though do really bring their game to the last quarter of the game, quickly scoring a good amount of points, trying to bring their score closer to the Bulldogs. But Rolla didn’t give them the chance ending the basketball game winning 81 to 56.
