The second half was mired with indecision with the officials, stretching the length of the game greatly compared to the first half. The third quarter saw the Liberators take the lead with a score of 28 to 24. The fourth quarter had the Liberators lose the lead temporarily but regain it before the end of the game, defeating the Zizzers 38-42.

Viewers commented on numerous calls from the officials that were considered questionable. Missouri is currently short on officials for high school sports. Those interested in officiating games can visit https://www.mshsaa.org/officials/application.aspx to apply.
