The West Plains Zizzers hosted the Bolivar Liberators in the Zizzers final regular season game on Tuesday, February 21, 2023.
The game was off to a poor start for the Zizzers, as West Plains began trailing Bolivar early and would continue throughout the first half. First quarter ended with West Plains trailing 14 points, 8 to 22. The Liberators would continue hitting more successful baskets in the second quarter while the Zizzers managed to close the point gap to 10, with a score of 19 to 29 at the half.
The West Plains Zizzers would manage to maintain this point deficit during the third quarter but would fall further behind. Lebanon held their lead during the third quarter with a score of 31 to 40. Failed free throws, many fouls, and not taking shots when they were presented are what hammered the final nails in this game for the Zizzers as they fell 17 points behind in the fourth quarter.
The West Plains Zizzers lose to the Bolivar Liberators 42 to 59.
