The West Plains Zizzers took on the Kickapoo Chiefs in Springfield, Missouri on Tuesday night in conference play. The West Plains Zizzers took a commanding lead during the first half, starting with a strong lead during the first quarter and not letting the Chiefs get close to tying the game during the second quarter. The Zizzers ended the half, 26 to 22.
The Zizzers seemed to have taken the Chiefs too lightly, as during the third quarter the Zizzers scored 7 points and the Chiefs took the lead, scoring 14 points. The third quarter score was 33-36 with the Chiefs ahead. West Plains fought during the fourth quarter, regaining the lead but Kickapoo was close behind. With seconds left on the clock and a slew of timeouts, the fourth quarter ended with 47 all and sending the game into overtime.
In overtime, the Kickapoo Chiefs took command and ended the game 56 to 48.
Again, the West Plains Zizzers lose to the Kickapoo Chiefs in overtime, 56 to 48.
