The West Plains Zizzers hosted the Hillcrest Hornets at West Plains High School on Valentine’s Day 2020. The Hillcrest Hornets started the game with the first of many 3-point shots and held the lead over the Zizzers for the entire game. The Zizzers kept the score close during the first quarter, 11 to 13. The second quarter had the Hornets flying ahead of the Zizzers to end the half 11 points ahead, 25 to 36.
The second half saw a push from the Zizzers to close the gap and a great use of timeouts by both teams. During the third quarter, West Plains managed to get within five points of Hillcrest, but lost some steam and ended the quarter, 44 to 51. The Hillcrest Hornets managed to land the sting on the West Plains Zizzers in the fourth with a 12 point lead, 57 to 69.
Again, the West Plains Zizzers lose to the Hillcrest Hornets, 57 to 69.
