The West Plains Zizzers took on the Logan-Rogersville Wildcats in the Homecoming game tonight, Friday, September 27, 2024.
The West Plains Zizzers Start off the first quarter with a strong play gaining much ground, bringing it first in ten from the 27. The Zizzers score the first touchdown of the game, giving them a head start of 6 to 0 over the Wildcats. The Zizzers then score another touchdown with six minutes left on the first quarter clock, slowly pulling ahead of the wildcats. The Wildcats make an impressive pass and catch, scoring a touchdown, closing the wide gap to 13 to7. Towards the end of the first, the Zizzers get three holding penalties in a row, pushing the progress back and ending the quarter with no further touchdowns and a score of 13 to 7.
After much struggle, and thrown flags, the Zizzers score the first touchdown of the second quarter, bringing their score to 20 to 7. The West Plains Zizzers score again with one minute left of the first half bringing them a whole 20 points ahead of the Wildcats. The first half of the game ends with no more touchdowns from either team.
The second half of the game starts off with another struggle between the two teams, who both want to score the next point. The Zizzers score the first touchdown with five minutes left in the 3rd quarter taking their winning gap wider and ending the 3rd quarter with a score of 34 to 7.
The West Plains Zizzers once again make the first touchdown of the quarter, keeping them in the lead with a score of 41 to 7 with six minutes left in the game. The game ends with no more touchdowns and Zizzers winning with a score of 41 to 7.
