A two‑vehicle crash south of Norwood left one driver moderately injured Sunday afternoon.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol says the collision happened at 4:40 p.m. on Route C, two miles south of town, when a northbound 2020 Nissan Armada attempted to pass another vehicle and struck an oncoming 2007 Chevrolet HHR.

The HHR’s driver, a 44‑year‑old woman from Norwood who was not wearing a safety device, suffered moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. The Armada’s driver, a 52‑year‑old man from Macomb, had minor injuries and later sought his own medical care.
