Survivors include: his wife, Derondia (Childers) Hamilton, of the home; 1 son, Brian Hamilton & wife Kristie of Benton, AR; 2 granddaughters, Rebecca Hamilton & Lauren Hamilton, both of Benton, AR; 1 sister, Joan Hamilton of Little Rock, AR; numerous other relatives & friends. He was preceded in death by: his parents, Auston & Jeanne (Farley) Hamilton; several aunts, uncles, & cousins.
David attended school in Star City, graduated from White Hall in 1961, and was married to Derondia on February 18, 1975. After graduation he enlisted in the Air Force, and then was a clerk for the railroad from 1967 to 2003. He enjoyed reading, gardening, hunting, fishing, and was a member of the Jefferson County Shooting Range in Pine Bluff, AR. David was saved in 1978 and was a member of the Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church.
Services will be 2pm Sunday, January 30, 2022, at the Oak Hill Missionary Baptist Church with Bro. Edward Casey officiating, with burial following in the Thayer Cemetery in Thayer, MO. Visitation will be 1pm-2pm prior to the service. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO.
