Delores was born the eldest of 4 children to Clarence & Barbara Powell on April 22, 1970, in West Plains, MO. She married the love of her life, Michael Wooldridge, on August 29, 2008. They have one child together, Lileigh Miriah, whom she adored with all her heart & was always so proud of. She graduated college from Arkansas State University on May 11, 2001, with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Criminology. She worked for Jones Glass as the office manager for many years.
She is survived by: her husband, Michael, of Thayer; 1 daughter, Lileigh of Thayer; 1 sister, Rebecca Hahn & husband Lance of Millersville; 2 brothers, Keith Powell & wife Jessiy of Thayer, Wesley Powell & wife Lacey of St. Louis; 5 nieces, Shandi, Kayleigh, Emily, Sophie, & Allison; 3 nephews, Alexander, Mason, & Preston; 3 great-nephews, Ashton, Theo & Edwyn; aunts, uncles, & cousins; a very special mention to Robert & Len Powell & countless friends & many, many acquaintances.
She was preceded in death by: her loving parents, Clarence & Barbara Powell; maternal grandparents, Frank & Alice Madden; paternal grandparents, Ocal Powell & Dellie Melton; 3 uncles, Gilbert, Joe, & Claude Powell; 1 cousin, Jerry Powell.
Delores was known for her beautiful, positive personality that uplifted those who came into contact with her. Whether it was her hugs or calling you honey or sweetie, she always left you knowing she cared about others more than herself. No matter her personal struggles with sickness she always encouraged others in such a way that made them examine their own blessings in life. She loved life and her Lord Jesus while leaning and trusting him to see the good in all people and things around her. She was a selfless person who would do anything for those she loved.
Services will be 10am Monday, February 7, 2022, at the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO, with Bro. Jared Russell officiating and burial following in the Norman Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Clary Funeral Home of Thayer, MO.
