Survivors include four children, Mellissa Carroll and Gerald, Kerri Bettis and Mike Infranca, Tiffany Shields and Gene, Jared Bettis, nine grandchildren, Josh, Lonnie, Marie, Kendra, Levi, Mason, Izzie, J.T. and Sawyer, three great-grandchildren, Brayden, Zander, and Elijah, ten siblings, Carolyn, Dorothy, Julie, Delmar, Floyd, Doyle, Annalene, Imogene, Viola and Linda, numerous other relatives and friends.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Vernon and Lila Tillman-Crabtree, wife Janie Bettis, four grandchildren, 11 siblings, Kenneth, Roy Don, Dale, Kelly, Ira, Harold, Leatha, Lola, Opal, Wilma, and Goldie.
Services will be 10:00 am Wednesday, December 7, 2022, at the Clary Funeral Home, Alton, MO with visitation Tuesday, 6:00-8:00 pm at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Bailey Cemetery.
