Janice Fields

Janice Fields, age 71, entered eternal life on January 26th, 2023. She passed away at St. Louis University Hospital, surrounded by her loved ones. Janice was born on February 17th, 1952, in Monroe, Louisiana, to Billy Joe and Gracie Mae Bonnell. On February 17th, 1970, (On her Birthday) she was united in marriage to her Loving husband, Jimmy Rae Fields, whom she is survived by. Janice Went to Iraan high school in Iraan, Texas. Throughout her adult life, Janice worked at several different jobs. The most gratifying role Ms. Janice fulfilled was being the wife of a US Armed service member, loving mother and grandmother to her 3 Children, 7 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. Her family was the most meaningful and important factor in her life. Her hobbies included, traveling, collecting, antiquing, pampering herself (nails), and most importantly spending time with those she loved the most, her family. Janice (AKA Nanny) wanted to make sure everyone knew how much they were loved and cherished by her.

Janice is preceded in death by her parents, Billy Joe & Gracie Mae; her siblings, Jean, Jerry & Billy Wayne; along with her grandparents, aunts, uncles, and many other loved ones.

She is survived by her husband of 53 Years, Jimmy Fields; 3 children, Jerry Fields and wife Robin, Bonnie Deckard and Husband Junior, and Johnny Fields; her 7 grandchildren, Christina Parrott and husband Nick, Rebecca Palmer and Husband Todd, Nikki Middleton and Husband Garrett, Jimmy Don Fields, Keri Deckard, Billy Joe Fields, Megan Fields; her 9 great grandchildren, Sean Palmer, Abriana Palmer, Bryden Parrott, Sophie Middleton, Cypriss Parrott, Addy Middleton, Sage Prince, Calvin James Palmer, & Michael Nicholson; her sister in Sister-in-law, Polly Bonnell; along with many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, January 30, 2023, at Clary Funeral Home in Alton, Missouri, with burial following in the Huddleston Cemetery. Visitation will be from 1PM – 2PM prior to the service. Brother Robert Wiggs will be giving the sermon, with Holly Hart & Adrian Clary performing in honor of Ms. Janice. Pallbearers will include Nick Parrott, Garrett Middleton, Eugene Willard, Doug Bridges, Randy Hodo & Josh Ray.
