In a game that saw a nearly two hour delay due to lighting issues followed by lightning The Liberty Eagles came up short on Friday night. The Eagles came out of the gate with an impressive opening drive to lead 8-0 but gave up three unanswered touchdowns to fall behind. The Eagles were able to score a touchdown as the first half was ending on a beautifully designed play from the swinging gate formation to pull close 22-16 at the half. In the second half it was all Mountain Grove as they added two more touchdowns and held the Eagles to 4 yards of total offense in the second half. The Final score was Mountain Grove 36 Liberty 16. Liberty will travel to Cabool to face the Bulldogs next Friday night.
