Man Who Was Caught In Arkansas And Charged With Murder Is Wanted On Three Murder Charges In Oklahoma

Arkansas – 50-year-old Stacey Lee Drake, who the Arkansas State Police had a search party for on June 19, 2024, has been charged with murder.

Earlier this year, the Arkansas State Police put out a post to have community members be vigilant and aware that a man facing murder charges had been last seen in Arkansas. Months after getting apprehended by the Arkansas Police on June 20, 2024, he was charged with murder on Wednesday, August 7, 2024. The murder he was charged with was the death of Philip Emerson on June 14. This happened in El Reno, Oklahoma.

He was also previously charged with the shooting deaths of Tara Huber Underwood and Taylor Sharp in Gans, Oklahoma. He is also facing additional charges of robbery, possession of a stolen vehicle, and committing a pattern of criminal offenses. 

When Drake was picked up in Arkansas, he was running from police in a stolen vehicle that was taken after the shooting of Underwood. The vehicle was found at a motel in Morrilton, Arkansas by Little Rock. Drake was found in a nearby wooded area by police.
