Mass Vaccination Clinic running smoothly

The Missouri National Guard, Ozarks Healthcare, Howell County Health Department and City of West Plains are holding a mass COVID-19 vaccination clinic today at the West Plains Civic Center.

The clinic is not open to the public, the individuals receiving vaccinations today were contacted by either Ozarks Healthcare or the Howell County Health Department yesterday (1/28). Only individuals who fall under Phase 1a and 1b – Tier 1 and Tier 2 are being vaccinated.

Ozark Radio News spoke with event organizers, including representatives from the City of West Plains, Howell County Health Department and Ozarks Healthcare.

First, West Plains City Administrator Tom Stehn discussed the cities’ involvement in the event:

Audio transcription: “The City of West Plains found out last Friday about the event for having the vaccines and so we’ve been working all week with the Howell County Health Department and Ozark Health Care to arrange it and so today our function is as support. We provided the building and support to make this happen.”
