He is survived by his wife, Christy of the family home; four sons, Shane Casey (Leslie), Brandon Casey (Ashley), Travis Hollis, and Jon Hollis (Shelly); seven grandchildren, Gavin, Madisyn, Tommy, Kagen, Owen, Makenzie, and Brooke; three siblings, Brant (Angela), Tammy, and Edward (Theresa); three nephews, Travis, J.C., and Chad; two nieces, Crystal and Merinda; and numerous other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his maternal and paternal grandparents; his father-in-law, Estes Bates; his brother-in-law, Dwight Holmes; and great niece, Londyn Casey.
Monty spent most of his life behind the wheel of a semi, starting with hauling cattle and later hauling rock & asphalt. He worked many years with his lifelong friends at Kings Asphalt before starting his own hauling business. Living his entire life in Alton, he had many close family and friends throughout the community that he loved and were very dear to him. He most enjoyed spending time with them, telling stories and laughing. He was a loving husband, father, and Pop and will be deeply missed.
Services will be 2:00pm Sunday, May 30, 2021 at Oak Hill Baptist Church and will be laid to rest at Riverton Cemetery, Riverton, MO. Bro. Edward Casey will be officiating. Pallbearers will be Shane Casey, Brandon Casey, Travis Hollis, Jon Hollis, Gavin Casey, and Owen Hollis. Honorary Pallbearers: Madisyn Hollis, Tommy Bettis and Brooke Casey.
