Jane, as she was known by friends and family, was a military wife for 6 years. She was a faithful member of the Refuge United Pentecostal Church in Thayer for 49 years where she served as church bookkeeper for many years. She was a home care provider for 25 years in the community. She was loved by many and will be missed.
Jane is survived by her children Sandra Shelton, Michael Shelton, and Joy Taylor. 2 granddaughters Lauren (Cruz) McDermott and Morgan Taylor. 2 great grandchildren Bentley McDermott and Maelie McDermott. One sister Elaine (Larry) Spear and brothers Monte Miller, Edward (Betty) Miller, Bobby Joe (Donna) Miller, Leonard (Darla) Miller, and Philip Miller. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Chester Shelton, parents Mont and Sevella Miller, brothers Porter Miller and Wayne Miller and sister Freda McHone.
Graveside services will be held at the Shiloh Cemetery in Thayer, December 5,2022 at 10:00 with Reverend Clay Risner officiating.
