This Week’s Featured Pet Of The Day Wrap-up! See All The Cats

Pet Lovers! – Once again, as promised, here is your weekly wrap-up and videos of the Featured Pet of the Day. To those who don’t know, this program was started to raise awareness for pets that are still looking for their forever homes. Pets that are recovering from past traumas or just who never had a home of their own. Ozark Radio News is also trying to help with the overcrowding problems that animal shelters and rescues are facing now.

On Monday, we featured Quincy. Quincy is a 1-year-old domestic shorthair mix who has been waiting at the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri for her forever home since March 14, 2024. She is already spayed. Quincy is a young, energetic feline who is always ready for any type of playtime. She is also a conversationalist, talking to humans with playful meows and purrs. She loves to explore, chase toys, and loves attention. Quincy does love a peaceful environment and would love to be your only cat and would prefer no children. Quincy is FIV+. FIV (Feline Immunodeficiency Virus) is one of the most common cat viruses that can only spread between cats through deep bite wounds. With proper and routine care, cats with FIV+ generally live average lifespans. If you are interested in Quincy, contact the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri at (417) 833-2526.

On Tuesday, we featured Bonsai. Bonsai is a 1-year-old domestic shorthair mix. She is already spayed and has been waiting for her forever home at the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri since April 10, 2024. Bonsai was found as a stray and is very cat-friendly so she wouldn’t mind if you have cats already she can be friends with. She does tend to keep to herself but loves to sit and people watch as you can tell from her eyes. She was extremely friendly when I met her and would love for someone to share her so she can find her furrr-ever home! If you are interested in adopting Bonsai, contact the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri at (417) 833-2526.

On Wednesday, we featured Cutie Pie. Cutie Pie is a 9-year-old domestic shorthair mix. She is spayed and has been waiting for her home since May 17, 2024, at the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri. Her personality lives up to her name. Cutie Pie is sweet as sugar and has a gentle, shy nature waiting to bloom in a forever home. She is a very cuddly companion and hasn’t been around too many other pets or children but with her demeanor, the Humane Society believes she would do well with them. By adopting Cutie Pie, you’re not just getting a pet – you’re gaining a loyal friend who will cherish every moment spent with you. She may be 9 but she is 9 years young not 9 years old. Please share and help her finally get a home after 9 years. If you are interested in adopting Cutie Pie contact the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri at (417) 833-2526.

On Thursday, we featured Bambi. Bambi is a 3-year-old domestic shorthair female waiting for her forever home. She is being held at the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri and has been waiting since February 14, 2024. Bambi has already been spayed and is a chill girl. She overly loves her soft cat house, refuses to get out of it for pictures, and enjoys quiet and peaceful environments. She is an inside cat but I am unsure how she does with other animals and cats. If you are interested in adopting Bambi, contact the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri at (417) 833-2526.

Today, Friday, we featured Kendra. Kendra is a 3-year-old domestic shorthair mix female. She has been waiting for her home at the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri since June 7, 2024. She is already spayed and from what I could tell talking to the staff, a house favorite. Kendra is sweet, laid back, and enjoys her space. She loves getting attention and rewards you well for it with her deep purr and affectionate rubs. Many of the staff told me that Kendra was their favorite and that they hoped she finally find a good home with a forever family. Please share and help them and us, help her. If you are interested in adopting her please contact the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri at (417) 833-2526.
