Weekend High-Speed Chase Ends in Wright County

Seymour, MO. – One man from Arkansas has been arrested following a high-speed chase and erratic behavior on Saturday, September 9th.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, this pursuit began at around 1:08pm, when a trooper was approached from behind by a truck travelling in excess of 90mph near Seymour on Highway 60. The driver waved at the trooper as if to signal for help before speeding off.

The pursuit continued into Wright County, where the suspect vehicle struck a truck and a horse trailer before continuing to flee. The vehicle was further damaged by a spike strip deployed by Troop G, but the driver still attempted to continue until he was stopped via a PIT maneuver and was taken into custody near Macomb.

The driver was identified as Kevin Carnett, 37 of Quitman, AR.
