West Plains, MO. – Tomorrow, August 29th, the City of West Plains has a scheduled power outage announced for the purpose of installing needed upgrades to a local substation.
This scheduled power outage is planned for 5am tomorrow morning, and is only expected to last for 20 minutes.

The areas affected by this outage are as follows:
- Minnesota Avenue to Broadway
- All numbered streets
- Porter Wagoner Boulevard, from Gibson Avenue to Burgoyne Street
- Independence Drive, from Porter Wagoner Boulevard to Concord Road
- Gibson Avenue, from US 63 to Missouri Avenue
- All of Missouri Avenue
While the City understands the inconvenience of losing power, they’ve scheduled this to take place during a less active time of the day, and stress that these upgrades are needed for maintaining reliable power service.
