WP Public Library to suspend in-person programming

Due to COVID concerns as cases rise in Howell County, the West Plains Public Library has decided to suspend in person programming for the time being.

“We will re-evaluate as needed because information is constantly changing,” said Library staff.

Take & Make Kits will still be available for pick-up for preschool ages, patrons can still come inside the library with mask use encouraged, and patrons can use curbside service to pick up books,movies,audios and Take & Make Kits.

Steps for curbside service:

1) Reserve items online on your account or call us @ 256-4775 let us know what you need.

2) Come to the Library give us a call @ 256-4775 to let us know you’re here and have your library card ready so we know it’s you.

3) Staff will bring your items out to you so you don’t have to come inside

“We will however hold one last program in October on Halloween from 9 am – 5 pm,” said library staff.

Children and teens will be able to trick or treat the Library Saturday October 31st during our regular business hours from 9 am – 5 pm. While supplies last children will receive a goody bag and a free book.
