Caulfield, MO. – Multiple emergency responder crews responded to a call on Monday, January 9th, to a call of a truck that had nearly fallen off the Patrick Bridge near Caulfield, MO.
A resident of Caulfield was driving their blue Ford pickup truck across the bridge. The problem, however, was that the vehicle was weighed down by not only a camper trailer that was being hauled, but also a motorcycle that was strapped down in the bed of the truck.
The extra weight caused the vehicle to move too quickly onto the bridge, further causing the driver to leave the bridge nearly completely. Photos of the event show the truck hanging on solely by a tire and the hookup to the camper behind.
Responders were later able to pull the vehicle back up from its dangling position and back onto the bridge.
No one was injured in the event and no property was lost, save for the truck, which suffered a twist in its frame, likely causing total damage.
