West Plains, MO. – On Tuesday, October 3, 2023, the Southern Missouri Community Health Center, SMCHC, broke ground on their new expansion.
SMCHC announced the expansion in May during their 20th Anniversary ceremony. The expansion will expand the number of exam rooms for medical and dental exams. The parking area will be expanded and an awning will be constructed before the main entrance with a drop-off area for patients.
SMCHC chief executive officer Bryan Adcock said the expanded facility is expected to be completed in “365 days” from the groundbreaking. Barring weather, the expanded center should be open in early October 2024.
