West Plains, MO – The Giving Tree has been in the City of West Plains since 2016 and was removed from its original home at the People’s Park Pavilion due, in part, to an increase in vandalism and criminal activity at the pavilion. Pastor Zohn Engelhardt with Rescue Church reached out to the West Plains Giving Tree group with an offer of a new home for the food pantry.
As of September 18, 2021, the Giving Tree has found a home at Rescue Church. The outside food pantry is stocked and open for those who may be in need of food or other essentials. Anyone who would like to can still make donations of shelf-safe foods, toiletries, or other essentials. Rescue Church will also be actively participating in making sure The Giving Tree stays well stocked.
Ozark Radio News spoke with Pastor Engelhardt about The Giving Tree and its’ new home, Rescue Church.
Rescue Church is located at 1010 6th Street on the corner of 6th Street and Minnesota in West Plains.
