Butler Children’s Park is now closed to public use and will remain closed until the demolition of the Parkside House is complete and all debris removed from the park grounds.
Simpson Excavating of West Plains was awarded the bid to take the house down at $1,150 a day.

An auction selling items from inside the house was held at the Civic Center on February 4. Proceeds totaled $8,027.50 and will go to the city’s general fund.
