West Plains, Mo. – Downtown West Plains was loud with sirens Thursday night as emergency crews responded to a structure fire on Jefferson Street. At 7:23 p.m., a 9-1-1 call was received of a structure fire near the intersection of Olden Street and Jefferson Street. Crews with the West Plains Fire Department and West Plains Police Department responded and arrived to a stand-alone garage on fire. The firefighters were able to calm the blaze quickly but the building was a complete loss. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
