U.S. Navy Seaman 1st Class Orval Austin Tranbarger, a 20-year-old man from Mountain View, was one of the 429 crewmen killed in the 1941 attack on Pearl Harbor. His remains were unable to be identified until last year.
Tranbarger’s funeral was held earlier today at Chapel Hill Cemetery, near Mountain View.
