The City of West Plains held its Solar Farm groundbreaking ceremony Thursday (4/8) morning.
The solar array is located on 40 acres and will be the largest municipal-owned solar farm in Missouri.
Missouri Governor Mike Parson was unable to attend the ceremony in person but made the following remarks:
As planned, the West Plains Solar Farm will generate 10.8 Megawatts of electricity, which is enough energy to power the equivalent of nearly 2,000 homes.
