Howell-Oregon members without power due to pole issues

WEST PLAINS, Mo. — Almost 500 members of Howell-Oregon Electric Cooperative were without power on Thursday due to a broken power pole.

Coop officials tell Ozark Radio News that 488 without power for a short period of time after a pole broke on JJ Highway. The pole was repaired and power was restored a short time later.

Several hours later, around 170 coop members were without power in the Winona area after a car struck a pole. That issue was also resolved.

Coop officials remind people to stay away from downed power lines and report them to the cooperative immediately at 417-256-2131 or 1-888-HOE-POWER.
