Howell Co. reports 12th COVID-19 death, over 1,000 year-to-date cases

The Howell County Health Department reports an additional 60 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county. This brings the year to date total number of cases to 1039. Currently, there are 234 known active cases in Howell County. Of these 234, nineteen are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. The county also reports its 12th COVID-19 death.

Of the new cases 45 reside in West Plains, four live in Mountain View, nine live in Willow Springs, one lives in Peace Valley and one lives in Caulfield. Positive cases and significant exposures to cases have been notified and have been placed on isolation or quarantine.

Of the new 60 cases; 24 cases that are considered community spread, where the source of the infection is unknown, and 36 cases have been linked to known cases.
