The Howell County Health Department reports that an additional 53 cases of COVID-19 have been identified in the county and two additional deaths due to COVID-19. This brings the year to date total number of cases to 1145 and the total number of deaths to 15. Currently, there are 293 known active cases in Howell County. Of these 293, nineteen are currently hospitalized with COVID-19. Of the new cases 42 reside in West Plains, 5 live in Mountain View, 1 lives in Willow Springs, 2 live in Pomona, 2 live in Pottersville and 1 lives in Moody. Positive cases and significant exposures to cases have been notified and have been placed on isolation or quarantine. There are 10 cases that are considered community spread, or the source of the infection is unknown. There are 42 cases that have been linked to known cases.
