Dale Ray

Dale Boyd Ray, 70 years, 4 months, 4 days old, passed peacefully to Heaven on May 23, 2021 at his home with Debby and Jennifer by his side.

Dale was born January 19, 1951 in Gainesville, MO to Carl Wayne and Norma Neressa  (Cantwell) Ray.

On November 25, 1972 Dale and Debby Rogers were united in marriage at  Ava, MO and were blessed with a daughter, Jennifer.

Dale was a 1968 Gainesville High School graduate. He was owner and operator of Dale’s Drywall for over 25 years. He had also worked at Emerson Electric in Ava for several years. He was saved and baptized at the First General Baptist Church in Ava. Dale loved his work and enjoyed meeting people. He had a love for animals and they loved him. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with all his friends and family. His joy was watching  his grandkids play sports or anything that they were involved with.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents, and a brother, Darrell Ray.   

He is survived by his wife, Debby of the home, daughter and husband, Jennifer & Steven Heinlein, three grandchildren, Gracie, Corey, and Cole,        his mother-in-law, Loweta Rogers, siblings and their spouses, Glenda & Ron Hannah, Sue & Darrell Graham, Lana & Mike Hampton all of Ava, MO, Roger Ray of Knoxville, TN, many nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many friends.           

Funeral services for Dale will be Thursday, May 27, 2021 at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Oak Grove Cemetery, Wasola, MO. A Visitation will be prior to the service on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Pastor Robert Roberts. Family requests memorials be made to the American Cancer Society, Rescue One, Springfield, MO or Oak Grove Cemetery.
