Caulfield F.D. receives funding towards new fire station

The Caulfield Membership Fire Department has applied for two years for a grant to build our wonderful community a new fire station. This has been applied for through the community development block grant and has been notified that they have received the grant for 2021.
 
This is a 100% grant meaning that the community provides no money towards this. The Caulfield Membership Fire Department will have to assist with labor and other assistance towards the construction.
 
The Caulfield M.F.D. were notified that they will be receiving $491,306.00 as a total grant award and $402,457.00 going towards the construction of the new station. The other funds will go towards the fees associated with this grant, the fees associated with the steps that have to be taken to insure that the new station can be built where the current station is now, and also the architect fees.
 
Construction plans and dates will be announced at a later time.
