Friday Night Crash in Wright County puts Niangua man in serious condition

Grove Spring, Mo. – A Friday night crash near Grove Spring left a Niangua man in serious condition. According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at 11:40 p.m. on Highway M, four miles southwest of Grove Spring.

A 2001 Dodge Dakota driven by an intoxicated Ahsten Henson, 25 of Niangua, crossed the centerline and struck a 2018 Chevy 3/4 Ton pickup driven by Nicholas Fisher, 39 of Grove Spring, totaling both vehicles. Ahsten Henson suffered minor injuries but refused treatment. A passenger of the Dodge, Steven Henson, 23 of Niangua, suffered serious injuries and was taken by ambulance before being airlifted to Cox Hospital in Springfield. He had not been wearing a safety device.

Fisher was not reported as having been injured in the crash.

Ahsten Henson was arrested for Careless and Imprudent Driving Involving an Accident and Driving While Intoxicated and was held in the Wright County Jail before being released.
