Blackwell Earns SEC Weekly Honors

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Southeastern Conference announced the women’s basketball players of the week on Tuesday. Mizzou guard Aijha Blackwell was named Co-Player of the Week after putting up a pair of double doubles against SIUE and No. 5 Baylor.

Blackwell is among the nation’s leaders in rebounding. She currently sits at 12.6 rebounds per game, which is fifth in the nation and first in the SEC. Her 113 rebounds rank third in the country, and she is tied for fourth overall with six double doubles. She is the only player in the SEC to rank in the top six in both scoring and rebounding. Additionally, Blackwell is the only player in the conference that is currently averaging a double double per game.
