Grace Irene Hansen, 89, of Willow Springs, Missouri, departed this life on December 15, 2021, at her residence in Willow Springs, Missouri. She was born on December 8, 1932, in Mountain View, Missouri, the daughter of Earl Theodore and Grace Milicene (Cambell) Walker.
Grace was united in marriage to Carrol Andrew Hansen on December 31, 1966, in Mountain View, Missouri.
She loved her husband with all her heart and guarded the Word of God in her heart. Church was always at the forefront of her relationship with God and family, reading her Bible daily. She taught her children to love the Lord, jointly with her husband that was the foundation on which her family is grounded upon, scripture, song, service, and love. But in life, she loved plants and the nature surrounding each of us. Gardening, which she taught to her boys, was part of this in that she always ensured we had good food on the table, with Dad leading the harvest of the crop each fall. Along with that gardening, she adored the beauty that God put into flowers, always keeping flowers near the house, nurturing them. Birds, another of nature’s blessings, was one of Mom’s simple pleasures too as she found great interest and peace watching them. Her favorite amongst them was always the red cardinal. But she did enjoy every now and then watching an ole blue jay ruffle the furry of her cat. Mom loved all that God has created and honored Him by being a steward to His creation, mentoring her sons to do the same, and instilling God’s Word in their hearts.
Grace is survived by her two children, Earl Hansen and wife, Sachie, of Springfield, MO, and Arnold Hansen of Willow Springs, MO; brothers, Paul Walker, Max Walker and wife, Kay; and sister-in-law, Ozella Walker; and two grandchildren, Aliyah and Jonas.
Those preceding her in death are her parents; husband, Carrol Hansen; granddaughter, Fianna Hansen; siblings, Don Walker and wife, Ruth, Mary Wells and husband, Elmer, Phyllis Easton and husband, Buster, Doyne Smith and husband, Monk, Jack Walker and wife, Lola, Bill Walker and wife, Lu, and Leon Walker; and sister-in-law Millie Walker.
