Thayer, Mo. – A Tuesday evening crash involving an 18-wheeler resulted in minor injuries near Thayer. The accident occurred at the intersection of US 63 and Nettleton Avenue at 6:05 p.m.

A 2020 Freightliner driven by Clifford Madden, 59 of Thayer, was making a left turn onto Nettleton Ave. when it was struck by a 2016 Buick Encore driven by Cathy Woods, 61 of Jonesboro. The Buick was totaled but Woods and her passenger, Carolyn Russell, 79 of Jonesboro, survived with minor injuries and were taken by ambulance to Ozarks Healthcare in West Plains for treatment. Madden was not injured in the crash.
