Formerly known as Teacher Placement Day, the event is set for 9 a.m. to noon in the Student Recreation Center, 323 Trish Knight St. It is being hosted by the MSU-WP Career Development Center and the Missouri State University Teacher Education Completion Program. Masking is encouraged.

The event is open to all college students in their last semester of an education program, as well as education program graduates, organizers said. Counseling students and graduates and community members also are welcome, organizers said.

Those who attend will have the opportunity to meet one-on-one with administrators from school districts in south-central Missouri and north-central Arkansas to discuss open teaching, substitute teaching, counselor or paraprofessional positions in those districts.

They also can apply for positions on site and provide resumés and unofficial transcripts to administrators for consideration during the event, organizers said

Organizers encourage those attending to dress professionally. Doing so, they added, will leave a positive impression on administrators and may help secure a position for the new academic year this fall.
