Vehicle Goes Airborne in Crash, Injures West Plains Man Saturday Night

West Plains, Mo. – A West Plains man was injured in a one-vehicle crash Saturday night in Phelps County. The accident occurred at 10:23 p.m., three miles north of Edgar Springs on US 63, according to Highway Patrol Troop I.

A southbound 2019 Buick Encore driven by David Pray, age 33, traveled off the right side of the road, striking an embankment and becoming airborne. The Buick then struck a mail box and several trees before coming to a stop.

Pray had been wearing a safety device and suffered moderate injuries in the crash and was taken by ambulance to Phelps Health Medical in Rolla for treatment.
